Admission Requirements

  1. Must be an evangelical believer in the Christian faith.

  2. A cumulative minimum GPA of 2.25 (4.00 scale) on all previous college work.
    Students with a GPA lower then the minimal requirement will be evaluated on an individual basis.

  3. A high school diploma or GED.

  4. Three years or more of full-time post high school work/life experience.
    Biola offers equal access to applicants regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, or disability. Admission to the BOLD Program is not solely based on academics, but takes Christ-like character into consideration. A student is expected to demonstrate the Lord’s presence in his/her life as evidenced through actions and interactions with others.

  5. Unit evaluation: There are three levels of entry into the BOLD Program:

    GE Planning: 0-26 transferable units. The BOLD counselor will assist the student in developing an academic plan for completing General Education requirements.

    PreMajor: 27-49 transferable units. The student is eligible for enrollment in BOLD Bible/GE courses.

    Major: 50+ transferable units. The student is eligible to begin major BOLD courses.
