BOLD Psychology Graduate Profile
For more than 15 years I was a professional actor on the stage, television, and silver screen. Many folks still know my acting work from the 90’s hit NBC sitcom, California Dreams. During my acting career, I co-starred in over 100 episodes of sitcom television and yet my life still felt empty and relatively unfulfilled. Once I surrendered my will to Christ, my days truly changed for the better. I eventually left the entertainment industry in order to heed the call on my life to serve. I knew that what I was being called to do would eventually require more training, education, and experience than I currently had. So, I went back to college to finish what I started. Biola University’s BOLD program was the perfect fit for my new journey, and a journey I’ll never forget.
Biola’s BOLD degree in psychology was the only program I applied to because it was the perfect fit for my needs. I finished community college with honors and knew I would have choices for schools, but the BOLD program was the only program for me. The fact that it had a fully accredited undergraduate degree that truly integrated psychology with Biblical studies was its distinguishing mark. The fact that it tailored classes for the working adult made the choice a slam dunk.
The Psychology program at BOLD was life changing, absolutely life changing. The BOLD program not only met my expectations but exceeded them on all levels. Many of the professors not only challenged me, but inspired me to reach my very best, and I believe I am on my way.
I’m currently earning my masters degree in clinical psychology and plan to become a licensed marriage and family therapist once I graduate. The good friends I’ve met and the mentors I’ve gained at BIOLA have been immeasurable to my growth.
