Important Announcement

As of January 2010, Biola University is phasing out the BOLD program and the School of Professional Studies.

As a current BOLD student, you will be able to finish your degree during a “teach out” phase that will be completed by June 2013. You can be assured of Biola’s commitment to provide you with the courses necessary to complete your degree during the next three years. While it may ultimately be necessary to merge off-site centers or shift some courses online, the courses you need to complete your degree program will be delivered in a reasonable timeframe and method.

CURRENT NEWS

Bookstore Schedule for Buyback and Christmas Break

Textbook Buyback will be December 12-16th. From 10-6 M-Thur and 10-5 on Friday. The Biola Bookstore will do their best to buyback as many of textbooks as they can, provided that those same texts will be used in the upcoming semester.

Christmas Break - The bookstore (including weborders) will be closed Wednesday, Dec 21 at noon, and will open up again Jan. 3rd.

GE courses added to BOLD Schedule for Spring 2012...

Having trouble finding or getting into GE courses?? The following ONLINE courses have been added to the BOLD schedule starting in January, 2012.

Nature of Math (7 weeks) (1/11 – 2/22)

Art Appreciation (7 weeks) (1/14 – 2/25)

World History (7 weeks) (3/7 – 4/18)

American Literature II (5 weeks) (3/17 – 4/14)

In addition GE English has been added...but this one meets in class on Saturdays at our La Mirada Site.

Critical Thinking and Writing (7weeks) (1/14 – 2/25)

Call your Advisor now to register for these courses.

FOR ALL CURRENT BOLD STUDENTS

  1. Student bills are no longer being mailed out. Students can access their bill online through My Biola.

  2. The University is no longer issuing ID stickers for each term. Your Biola Student ID card is now usable without the sticker.

ATTENTION DECEMBER 2011 Graduates

Important Deadline Dates for Graduation:

• November 15th Deadline to: File Proof of Registration for off-campus courses; Receive Final Transcripts for Correspondence Courses and CLEP Tests; Receive final CPL approval by Registrar.

ATTENTION MAY 2012 Graduates

If you are planning on Graduating next May (2012) be sure to check in with you Academic Advisor soon.

• November 15th Deadline to: File a Grad Petition without the $200 late fee. After Nov. 15th a $200 late fee will be charged.

NEW BOOKSTORE POLICY

With the updating of their registers and other new Biola Bookstore policies, it is now mandatory for all students to have either their Biola ID card or the ID number when purchasing books and coursepacks from the Bookstore.
