What are Biola Math grads doing?

Biola Mathematics graduates have ranked within the top 10 percent in the annual Putnam Math Competition for undergraduates. Graduates have earned degrees from schools such as the University of Minnesota, USC, UCI, UCLA, UC San Diego, Cal State Long Beach and Portland State. Recent graduates are teaching in different junior high schools, high schools, colleges and universities in areas of California and the West Coast. Other alumni are working in the computer industry and in the area of statistical analysis.

Traditionally, most of the math majors at Biola, and similar schools, became High School Math Teachers. This is shifting, as our society becomes increasingly information oriented, opening new opportunities for entry level positions with a B.S. in math. They are not yet common, but with care and by planning ahead, they can be found. To explore the possibilities, we have collected the following resources.
