We have just learned that the Dallas Brass has agreed to do a concert the evening of November 12th, before the day of their masterclass presentation for our Conservatory students. Sponsored by the Conservatory, the concert will be at NO CHARGE. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear one of America's foremost ensembles. The Dallas Brass has appeared with many symphony orchestras across the nation, and at Carnegie Hall, and the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. They have shared the stage with the late Bob Hope, and performed for Presidents Gerald Ford and George H. W. Bush.
A Dallas Brass concert is intended for the entire family, ages 5 to 95. Their goal is to entertain and enrich by playing great music, while showing the audience how much they enjoy what they do. Their repertoire includes classical masterpieces, Dixieland, swing, Broadway, Hollywood and patriotic music. This is the perfect concert for bringing students of any age who are interested in music.
Push, shove, and squeeze room in your schedule for the November 12th Dallas Brass Concert at 7:00 p.m. in Crowell Hall. First-come, first-seated!
