Composition Faculty
At Biola, composition students are encouraged to compose, arrange, perform and record their own music under the guidance of a faculty that offers breadth of training and depth of experience. Students have access to a state-of-the-art digital recording studio, which includes a comprehensive library of the latest digital samples and Sibelius notational software. The studio also is equipped with Digital Performer recording and editing software; Kurzweil, Roland, Korg and Alesis synthesizers; effects processors; a 24-channel digital mixing console; and Neumann microphones. Composition students partner with students in the university television and film program, gaining first-hand experience in scoring for film.
