Keyboard Faculty
The piano program is one of the most comprehensive and demanding among Christian university music programs. Students receive a rigorous schedule of lessons each semester given by our faculty, all of whom are active concert pianists. Distinguished visiting artists, such as world-renowned pianist Menahem Pressler, Biola's Artist-in-Residence, provide another important facet to our students' education by offering master classes each semester. Biola also hosts three competitions each year where students can win scholarships or the privilege of performing a concerto with the Biola orchestra. With a combination of expert instruction and healthy competition, the Biola piano department prepares its students to go on to the best graduate schools and vocations. Besides piano instruction, Biola also offers an emphasis in organ. With an outstanding pipe organ and on-campus instruction, Biola continues to have one of the most respected organ programs in California.
